Market Prep Begins! 🛍️
As a small business owner, prepping for an upcoming market is both exciting and overwhelming. There’s always so much to do—creating enough inventory, planning my display, organizing supplies, and making sure I don’t forget anything important.
To stay on top of everything, I use my Market Prep Planner, which helps me track my to-do list, product stock, and deadlines. Having a structured plan makes the process so much smoother (and way less stressful!). In the vlog, I share how I use my planner to break things down into manageable steps.
Sewing a New Product ✂️
I’ve been working on something new for my shop, and I finally got the chance to sew it for this market! I won’t spoil the surprise here (you’ll have to watch the vlog for the full reveal 😉), but I’m really happy with how it turned out. Creating new products is one of my favorite parts of running a handmade business—it's always so rewarding to see an idea come to life.

Crochet Plushie Time! 🧶
Of course, no market prep is complete without some crochet plushies! They’re one of my bestsellers, and I love making them. There’s something so relaxing about sitting down with my yarn and watching a plushie take shape.
I always try to make a mix of customer favorites and new designs, so there’s a little something for everyone at my booth. If you’ve been thinking about making your own plushies, I definitely recommend giving it a try—it’s such a fun and rewarding craft!
Taking My Work on the Go 🎒
In the middle of my market prep, I had the chance to take a little trip! But, of course, being a small business owner means the work never fully stops. So, I packed up my crochet supplies and continued working on plushies while I was away.
One of the things I love about crochet is how portable it is. Whether I’m at home, in a café, or traveling, I can always bring a project with me. Working in a new environment also helps spark creativity and keeps things interesting!
The Market Prep Journey Begins! ⏳
This is just the beginning of my market prep journey! With one month until two small markets and six months until my three biggest events of the year, I’m starting early to stay on top of everything. Planning ahead helps me avoid last-minute stress and ensures I have enough inventory for each event.
Over the next few months, I’ll be sewing, crocheting, organizing, and refining my booth setup to make sure everything runs smoothly. There’s a lot of work ahead, but I’m excited to take you along for the ride!
